Die hard diy wind power enthusiasts love the challenge and saving money

Die hard diy wind power enthusiasts usually understand that approximately 94% of the energy we consume is not renewable? They realize that non-renewable resources will eventually run out.

I’ve got to tell you though, I’m not worried about it; maybe I should be. But you know I don’t believe my great, great, great grandchildren will need to worry either.

Wanna know why, okay I’ll tell ya. Those who use the impending depletion doom argument, forget to mention one very important fact. As we begin to replace fossil fuels with renewable resources, like wind, solar, hydrogen, and biofuels, the pressure on the non renewables will ease off. Then they’ll simply last longer and longer – hey, pretty smart reasoning huh!

In any case, most people have no idea of the rewards that can be harvested when they use some kind of renewable energy - in this case wind power. The fact is, most have no idea how simple harnessing the wind really is. Let’s take a closer look.

It's really a great alternative – you break the pattern of slogging along paying the utility month after month n let them pay you… So go ahead, become a diy wind power gadgeteer and build a system.

Now that makes sense. So who’s qualified to put on a diy wind power hat? Wonder if you’re qualified? Does the challenge of making your own electricity tickle your fancy? And if that not enough, how about the money you’ll save by using a renewable you made – does that convince you?

Okay, so you’re already a serious diy‘er! Congrats, now you wanna build a small wind turbine – great. Well, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s see, diy wind power, hummmm. Oh yeah – how’s the wind at your place – have you got wind? say from 7 to 10 mph. In fact, it needs to be reasonably steady, at or above 7 to 10mph, 10 is better. Because if you don’t, you’re not gonna make much electricity, better look sunward.

But you’ve got wind, great. Ok, so let’s see, what else you need? Oh yeah, plans. Take a look at Earth4Energy, for excellent how to plans. They’ll tell you where to get magnets, wire, towers, stuff like that. Remember, if you’ve got plans on selling the power you generate back your utility, the air’s movement is critical.

If you paying around 10 cents or less a kW hour you’re really not going too save much and the pay off time will take longer. But if you hang around awhile, the price of grid power will likely go up. In either case you will save.

Obviously you’ve crunched the numbers between commercial and diy wind power systems. So I’m sure you’re up to speed on all that. Okay, with the big dollar systems out of the way, let’s focus on building something more economical.

You can get started by purchasing a quality diy wind power system. Personally, I would opt for a good set of plans, and go from there. Earth4Energy is a reputable company. They stand behind their products and provide excellent service.

In any case, there are two systems that, in my opinion are worthy of (your) close examination. Both provide excellent illustrations and the instructions are very clear. Build either wind generator and you will have a first-class source of power for living off grid living.

DIY KITS are available too, however they are much more advanced and rely upon your greater knowledge of electricity. To the best of my knowledge most provide no instructions for towers, propellers and such.

The Earth4Energy kit suggests one of those popular alternative energy devices that prove to drop home energy costs by 50-80%. The kit also shares information on where to purchase free batteries required for your project. These batteries store the alternative energy making it a portable energy resource. You can take them anywhere, for any use!

And don't forget: diy wind power is where it's blowin, so use it to create your own energy.
